Harper is the owner and lead designer behind The Styled Shootout, a curated editorial experience created for photographers, videographers, and content creators who value intentional design, elevated aesthetics, and imagery that stands apart.
With a background in luxury wedding planning and event design, Harper approaches editorials with the same level of care and storytelling as a real wedding weekend. Each Styled Shootout is thoughtfully planned from the ground up—layered design, cohesive color palettes, and carefully selected locations—ensuring every detail translates beautifully through the lens.
What sets The Styled Shootout apart is Harper’s ability to pair creative vision with a clear understanding of what photographers actually need. Every editorial is designed to be visually striking while also delivering usable, publication-worthy imagery across photography, video, and modern content creation.

We're here as a resource beyond photography—whether you're looking for engagement session outfit recommendations, timeline advice, or vendor referrals.
Even if you're working with a wedding planner or you're planning a simple wedding, there are likely still a lot of moving pieces left leading up to your big day. We've photographed more than 150 weddings in the past few years and we're happy to share everything we've learned along the way!

We’re big fans of engagement sessions for a few reasons. Not only do they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, they also give you the opportunity to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you.
Engagement sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. We’ve found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos. We normally plan sessions based on a particular “look” a couple has in mind, spring flowers for example, or based on schedules.

We check-in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else we should know about your big day.
While we normally don't send this questionnaire until closer to the wedding, please don't hesitate to let us know if you have questions during the planning process!

You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about three weeks of your wedding. At that time, we'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
We hope the relationship doesn't end after we deliver your photographs. We want to hear about the adventures of married life. And if you decide to have kids, we'd love to document your growing family.

In the Country is the centerpiece of the wedding weekend editorial, set on open land beside a quiet lake and inspired by the ranches of Telluride and the stone houses of Upstate New York. Elevated ranch culture meets timeless countryside refinement through organic textures, soft neutrals, and a sailcloth tent reception designed to feel both grounded and editorial. Styled vignettes will feature ceremony moments, reception details, and refined flatlays rooted in classic American heritage.
This editorial day is intentionally paced to allow photographers focused time with each vignette, creating imagery that feels thoughtful, cinematic, and publication-ready. In the Country defines the tone of the weekend—where landscape, design, and storytelling come together with ease.
In the City opens the wedding weekend editorial with a sip & headshot swap, cocktails, and a rehearsal-dinner–inspired evening set inside a historic bank turned hotel. Drawing inspiration from the Polo Bar, the design layers rich fabrics, tailored details, moody lighting, and candlelight against heritage architecture.
The evening will include a welcome dinner experience and a presentation by DVandCo., offering thoughtful insight to set the tone for the days ahead. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect, capture refined details, and ease into the editorial experience in a social yet intentional setting. This opening chapter establishes the mood, pace, and creative direction for the days to follow.
In the Garden is a post-wedding brunch–inspired editorial set among a charming stucco house, winding paths, hidden gardens, and a quiet stone fountain. Layered greenery, soft florals, and timeless estate details create a relaxed, refined atmosphere, with styled vignettes highlighting garden tablescapes, elegant flatlays, and romantic details.
The day will begin with an educational presentation led by DVandCo., our lead photographer, focused on intentional editorial storytelling, composition, and creating imagery suited for publication and portfolio refinement. Following the editorial experience, guests will gather for a post-event brunch, bringing the wedding weekend to a graceful and celebratory close.
